Celebrate! 30 Year Class Reunion… [ I can’t possibly be that old!? ]

OK, this made me LOL!

My 35 year Class Reunion is coming up and I came across this old post (June 17, 2011) on Polyvore… It’s my wardrobe “plan” for the 30 Reunion Weekend 5 years ago!! I say “plan” because I never owned these clothes – it was more like a wishlist. Sadly it still is, ha!

Guess I’ll try it again for the 35 Reunion – no one will remember, lol!

Here’s the original editorial – with 2016 notes:

“This is what I would like to wear to my 30 Year Class Reunion (read: gossipweekend.) Since I don’t have all of these items, will have to get creative! This is still true :/

Friday is a Family Bowling Night (AKA stand in the bar drinking and laughing Night) so the denim skirt is actually a skort, in case I actually bowl. Hmm…. Well, OK, no skort, but I do have a very cute denim skirt with a flounce hem, maybe I’ll wear it. Get ready people, you’ll be seeing my panties if I bowl.

It’s usually cold at Dart Bowl, so I’ve added a darling cropped cardi in my favorite color. Damn! I STILL seriously need a darling, pink cropped cardigan. Why have I not bought one?!?!

I deserve a darling pink cardigan.
I am worthy of a darling pink cardigan.
A darling pink cardigan will soon come into my life… Hahaha!

Saturday night party is at an open-air bar downtown ATX. The air temp will be about 105 degrees (really) SO I am going for a cool, thin dress with pettipants under for the chub rub(!) and a super light-weight shrug to cover my flappy arms…

Flappy Arms! Some things never change! Dancing and flappy arms really DO NOT mix…  I have been trying to get a little bit of tan on my flappys so they’re not glow-in-the-dark-white. Are slightly tan flappys better than white flappys?! This is need to know

Back to the dress: I have two maxi dresses to choose from… turquoise pattern or dark pink pattern? Probably turquoise, I already have killer turquoise platforms to wear.

Sunday is mexican brunch for families. Same pink cardigan but with vintage rock n roll T and my fave pink Converse sneaks. Yay! This I can do, I have the same pink Cons as 5 years ago AND a newish pair, so the weekend will be ALL GOOD, haha! Woohoo!

 Amy Loves Cons!

Taco Tuesday – Texican Cafe Lakeline

Family visit to Texican Cafe near LakeLine.
Texican Cafe is self-proclaimed El Paso Style … I’m not sure what defines “El Paso style”… I used to spend a lot of time working in El Paso and loved the very fresh, street-taco style places in El Paso, so have high hopes for Texican Cafe.

“I’ll have the soft tacos with ground beef on corn tortillas , please”
Have I mentioned that I am a part-time vegetarian? For me, there are SO many reasons to give up meat entirely; that probably won’t ever happen… But I have reduced significantly the amount of meat I eat, so that’s a good thing. For me. You do you.
First glance; happy me! These flour (yes, I ordered corn) tortillas are either home-made or cooked there, either way I’m happy ‘cuz these are much better than the packaged, raw doughy mess usually served as tortillas. #happyaccident

The ground beef is tender and flavorful and the veggies are cool and crisp. Nice combination. The tortillas are thin, light and crispy-edged just the way I like them.
Misting fans and TV’s showing NCAA Baseball play-offs on the patio, awesome!
